Type O Negative es una banda de Brooklyn, Nueva York. Son conocidos como unos de los primeros grupos en alcanzar el éxito en el estilo gothic/doom metal (dark metal), compuesto por guitarras distorsionadas, órganos frecuentes y el uso del teclado, y voces de Peter Steele.
